Sandra Celafoni Henderson

Sandra Cefaloni-Henderson is a graduate of Mount Saint Mary College, having earned her B.A. in English, with a dual certification in Elementary and Special Education. Sandra immediately pursued her graduate work and received her M.S. in Literacy Education in 2009. Sandra then began a 9-year career in the higher education setting, holding various positions of leadership within the Division of Student Affairs, most recently having served as the Dean of Campus Life.

Today Sandra is an educational consultant providing support to students and their families on college counseling, academic planning, and career coaching. She is a member of the Independent Educational Counseling Association (IECA) and the NYS Association of College Admissions Counselors.

Sandra has been able to assist and scaffold student development in various ways as they begin their journey of self-exploration and growth. Sandra is a firm believer that student learning at any age is not something that takes place only within the classroom. Rather, teaching and development opportunities extend well beyond the classroom setting, and it is imperative to foster experiences that support both academic and interpersonal development of students.

Sandra has an unremitting passion for education and the development and enhancement of the student experience through thoughtful programming, academic support, empowerment and outcome driven initiatives.
